The Stillness

My art teacher Mrs. Carter makes a still life every year for her Art 1 class to draw. While i was still in Art 4 i had the chance to take a shot of this set up.

Using word, since I'm photo shop illiterate, i darkened the tones in the photograph. I didn't want the white to be to bright but i wanted to bring a sense of time to the picture. So i highlighted all the main colors, and brightened the white slightly.

As it goes, it appears that their government controls many sectors of Lyra's world. Moreover, that they want everything to be run one way. The way the world was originally supposed to be run, a strong religious connection can be made throughout the movie. However, the director has attempted to stray from these connections in hope of not alarming audiences.

War, America's Economic Prob?In the course of human events, war has been wrought at every turn. Money and lives are so intertwined in America that they have become two of its founding principals. Albeit we knew or not. America, as well as other countries, have continually spent more money than they had to build their societies. Hoffman blames the war for the rise in America’s debt, but the debt rises with or without war.   
Hoffman says, “War brings down the nations economy…”, and he is totally right. Except where he only blames war for America’s debt, and that the war should be stopped to save money. It should be stopped to save the li War, America's Economic Prob?

DrugsHave you ever asked yourself why people do drugs, why would people do something to hurt themselves? Well it's simple they are trying to run away from their lives. By using these means of escape they can become lost in a world wind of thought. That takes their problems from home, and thrust them into the dark. I have heard people say that the reason they don't do drugs is simple because they could never see themselves sitting in the corner contemplating the meaning of string. Well that is one of the many fine points of the escape. A major downside is its illegal, and because of this many people stray away from these objects.

been a while. well i got my laptop. and my cell phone. finally.

just bought a shitload of groceries. yay i don't have to leave the barracks to eat now.
got roomates now. 3 of em. they are cool.

nearly passed out this morning. vision went blurry. couldn't breath. couldn't stand. started sweating alot. got really cold.

had a couple of shipmates sit me down and check to see if i was okay. i was. apparently not eating now is bad. since my body is used to burning so many calories.

and i kinda skipped dinner(slept thru it) and breakfast(same as last reason).
but i'm good. they sat me down. got me a bag lunch. put me in an air conditioned room(which made me colder: when they came to get me i was huddled btw my legs trying to warm up). and then they told me to go to my room and sleep the rest of the day. and forced me not to work. i was like "cool, ok"

but yeah got a dentist app. tommorrow. to see if i need my wisodm teeth taken out next week. ima see if they can wait till i finish my first class. since it's only 15 days long.

but yeah besides that not much. i'm broke again.
